GPRL engaged a basic service employment contract under the auspices of the CNL HR Manager. Twice during the employment period GPRL had to amend the contract for new terms from CNL. My understanding is that GPRL had to provide the amendment and secure signatures from some 400+ expats within a two month period – which they achieved along with the difficult accounting and administration of CNL’s complex bonus structure that was layered as to both varying periodic qualified bonus and end of contract bonus. As regards my contract, GPRL’s performance was quite satisfactory.

During my employment on these projects, I have always been very impressed by the professional and punctual service of GPRL. I have never received any late payments on my salary. Any queries I might have had were always adhered to in a confidential and timely manner with a positive outcome. Communication was always punctual and confidential. The company had an open door policy which made communicating any grievances etc. very straight forward. All communication was answered and acted upon swiftly. The meet and greet teams were outstanding and I was always welcomed at the relevant airports with great enthusiasm and professionalism. The team was always punctual.

The support that was received from the GPR group was outstanding, e.g. provision of personal protective equipment, salary advances if and when required, timeous visa and CERPAC renewal, etc. The MD also made regular visits to site to keep all up to date of any new developments and also to enquire from employees if they required anything from the agency. What impressed me the most was the prompt, and sometimes even early, payment of my salary each payroll date. Proper pay slips were provided and payment was always spot on. GPR also provided official tax certificates to all employees working for them. Medical benefits and insurance was provided to all employees as well. Finally, I would like to thank Mr. Amoo and all GPR staff for making my stay and work in Nigeria an unforgettable and comfortable experience and would be more than willing to work through such a professional agency in the future again.

GPRL has been providing the staffing and construction management services for a number of years – their staff is experienced. Tajudeen and some of his crew make site visits to hold meetings with the expats to share client safety briefs as well as find out if anyone is experiencing problems. In summary, GPRL has provided very good services and delivered an exceptional value both to the employee and corporate clientele. Their level of professionalism is very hard to find in Nigeria. It is unfortunate that too often in Nigeria that contracts are awarded on political expediency rather than capabilities and a reputation of good performance. Immigration services were a breeze and I never had any unpleasant or delayed issues which could arise from incorrect immigration services. All in all in my personal and professional opinion, I regard Global Petroleum Resources Limited as one of the best companies I have ever been employed by. I will gladly accept future employment offers from this company without any doubt.
